Accessibility Testing
Human-centred accessibility testing, delivered by people with lived experience, supported by world-class testing capability built in Christchurch.
Accessibility isn’t just a compliance exercise.
It’s about whether real people can actually use your product.
At TestPilot, we combine recognised accessibility standards with practical testing carried out with people, including people who rely on assistive technologies in their everyday lives. This allows teams to move beyond checklist audits and understand how accessibility issues impact real user journeys.
Why human-centred accessibility testing matters
Automated tools and WCAG guidelines are essential — but they only tell part of the story.
True accessibility can only be validated when digital products are tested:
- By real users
- In real scenarios
- Using assistive technologies as they are actually used day to day
That’s why our accessibility testing focuses on experience as well as compliance.

Our accessibility testing approach
We deliver accessibility testing through a structured, quality-assured model:
- Testing informed or led by people with lived disability experience
- Use of assistive technologies such as screen readers and keyboard-only navigation
- Clear test scenarios mapped to real user journeys
- Findings reviewed and quality-assured by senior TestPilot test managers
This approach helps teams understand not just what fails accessibility checks, but why it matters and what to fix first.
